An escape – A new beginning

This poem was written, right after a beautiful ride, with my best friend. Two young adults, 19 years old, felt that we had created a bond for ourselves and that many more adventures were yet to come.

The image displayed is one she took, during our journey!

Two souls, one mind,

To get out of this civil bind,

Decided to escape to an unknown land,

One without any masks or brand.

Ventured on uneven roads,

Only to see their destination closed.

When death couldn’t stop them,

How will mere gates?

The two went ahead and took a gamble,

With nothing less than their life at stake.

They went in breaking all rules,

Nothing but a bunch of adventurous fools.

When they did reach their paradise,

It was worth everything, they had paid as a price.

A beautiful picture, painted in blue and green,

One just out of a dream.

All that was needed was a deep breath,

To have a rebirth.

A mesmerized state was broken,

For it was time to return.

Back to a world of fake beauty,

And complete plasticity.

Took them all the effort to leave,

And come back to this world of thieves.

Yet, a decision had been made,

A team had been formed.

It would only be a matter of days,

Before another escapade.

All that was wanted,

Was a bright new dawn, somewhere untainted.
